Coconut lagoon will offer you a mesmerizing experience. This heritage hotel is set in the backwaters of Kerala on a stunning location and can only be reached by boat (and has to be booked in advance). The moment you enter you know you’re in a different world. The lodges, the atmosphere, the food and the authenticity are all in harmony. The interior of the rooms also have a very colonial, albeit classy, feel. Bathrooms are outdoors. The food was by far the best we had during this trip (not at all tourist oriented but showing what a rich food culture India has to offer). Splurging advised!
