CitizenM hotels are perfect for cities. They boost small but smart rooms (with XL king-size beds) and have large common areas. The latter are stuffed with Vitra design and are as colorful as cozy. We preferred the one at Bowery as it's slightly more modern/spacious (newer) and has an excellent location on the boundery between Nolita and Little Italy. Bowery itself is an upcoming area. Our room had a beautiful view on the downtown Manhattan skyline, including our favourite '56 Leonard' building. The view from the 20th level fancy bar and terrace is even better. Of course you get all the expected amenities on site. CitizenM is a no-brainer.
