Shahi palace has an exceptionally nice view of the Jaisalmer fort from it’s enjoyable rooftop (lounge) bar. This is also the best offering from this hotel. Ok, the rooms (though booked at Shahi Palace we were placed in a close by property Oasis of the same owners) where nice with local sandstone architecture. We had a room with a fort view. The owner (as friendly as he was) is a bit business oriented but the location makes it worth to stay here. Breakfast was mediocre. Very good food can be found in the old centre (try atmospheric Saffron in the evening). Or dwell through the fort.
