Udai Kothi lies on a small peninsula in romantic Udaipur.  It’s a smart hotel with comfortable rooms which are a tad too profusely decorated. The rooftop pool feels very luxurious. We didn’t take the breakfast (served in a unpleasant room) but I would anyway recommend to go to cafe Edelweiss. You can’t go wrong there. The attraction however is nearby restaurant Ambrai, which has very good food, but more important the best location in Udaipur, overlooking lake Pichola and the Lake Palace. If you’re around for longer, you’ll go back. Also a boat trip on the lake is very attractive.
