La Casa del Califa is a hotel that consists of 8 different historical houses. This gives a maze like feeling to the hotel, with many stairs and corridors. This is not annoying but adds a lot to the atmosphere. You cross many little cosy places and come across surprises around every turn. Rooms come in different styles but all have nice Moorish touches, even the cheapest (simplest) ones. The courtyard restaurant is really wonderful. It’s very atmospheric and brings you in Oriental spheres. The food is just as good. This is an ideal place to explore Vejer and the Costa de la Luz.
