This place gives you a warm welcome, and this generous behavior continuous throughout your stay. Our room was somewhat basic (nr. 7) but the main (breakfast, reading, sitting) lounge is very atmospheric, as well as the pool area and the garden (with nice view out to sea). Bernalda is a buzzy southern town. Matera (Unesco) is definitely a must to visit along with small villages scattered throughout the region (like Pisticci with it’s magnificent views). The Ionic coast has mainly a flat, not especially nice coastline, but it also hides a fantastic beach, Riva dei Ginepri, a jewel.
