While some city hotels try to be hip, CitizenM is hip and stylish. It's stuffed with Vitra designer furniture (Hip Shelters favourites) and other arty objects. Following the zeitgeist, the bedrooms are small (but with wall-to-wall beds), the communal areas breathe space. Whether in the breakfast / bar area, or in the adjacent lounges, you'll feel at home. Everything in your room is controlled with an iPad, lightning and music schemes included. On the 16th floor is cloudM, a rooftop bar with a mesmerising view over Paris. Of course beautifully designed. Breakfast is also savory and did we mention the central location. CitizenM is a winner.
