Casa Modesta is a very nice place to spend a while. This former fishermen's house has been renovated with attention to architectural detail. The design is minimalistic and this is also applied to the extension where our room was. From the private rooftop terrace you have a wonderful view over the Ria Formosa. Rooms are small but cosy. The whole place oozes style. The breakfast is a feast, and is served on an outside terrace next to the pool. The tableware is eclectic. There's an honesty bar and a wine cellar, so no shortage of good things. The owners are very welcoming and will help you in every way possible. You'll best need a car but this place is really worth a small detour.
