Finca el Cerrillo is a restored old olive mill farmhouse and is situated in the high foothills of the Sierra Almijara. The hotel has well equipped rooms and a beautiful terraced garden (we even saw a chameleon), leading towards the swimming pool and loungers, from where you’ve a stunning view. Though you can have dinner in the old Andalucian villages of Cannilas or Competa, most people stay in the hotel. Not difficult to understand: fresh and delicious. The Costa del Sol is close but exploring the Moorish villages or the Nerja caves are also rewarding choices.
