When you enter this 'palace' you will be stunned by its majestic 38-metre-high domed atrium lobby. But it's not the interior (not so modern rooms) that merits a place on this site, it's the lush well-manicured sea facing gardens, which are immaculate. Palm dotted green areas with several infinity pools, the main one looking out onto the sea. It's hard to leave the place but a good alternative to the several in-house restaurants is a trip to Muscat's fine food temples, like Kargeen or Mumtaz Mahal. Our room had direct access to the pool, which is really enjoyable. An absolute top place to stay in Muscat.
