After some sleepless nights (this is another story) we arrived at beautiful Villa Jacaranda (tucked away from the tourist area). The lovely garden adjacent to an atmospheric building with (only) 4 neat rooms and the perfect breakfast on a flowered terrace makes this a small paradise in Varkala, a pretty coastal town. You’re close to great beaches and the town itself is well worth a visit. The whole area is very peaceful. You can walk along the cliffs or on a path along the beaches. A little further to the south are beautiful fishing villages, assuring dreamlike experiences, especially in the morning.
