Pongwe beach hotel is located on a very dreamy beach (the best of Zanzibar said by many). The natural bay makes it also picture perfect. Install yourself in the hammocks and loungers and enjoy the crystal clear turquoise water. We got the Vals room, which is secluded and you literally sleep almost on the sea. Other rooms, all with coconut palm tatched roofs, are scattered around but with only 20 of them it never feels crowded. The hotel is very welcoming and the atmosphere is just right. The food is of very high quality and very tastefully prepared. If you can't swim because of the (Zanzibar famous) low tide there's also a great infinity pool.
