Located in the Northern part of Inle Lake, Inle Princess Resort has been a long standing favourite, easily defending its reputation against the nowadays abundance of hotels. The location is wonderful, especially magical in the mornings and at sunset time.  Bungalows are scattered around the domain and set in well manicured gardens/water areas. The recently added swimming pool is nice, but unless you've plenty of days, it's far more rewarding to spend your time on the beautiful lake. The authentic decorated restaurant serves good food and wine from the nearby Red Mountain wine Estate, which is also a must-visit.
