Hotel Brosundet is 'the' place to stay right in the centre of the beautiful 'Art Nouveau' city of Ålesund. It's located in a few refurbished warehouses on the quayside of the old harbor and it's designed by Snøhetta. Multiple adjacent living rooms featuring Scandinavian design furniture form the ground level with the famous enormous chimney as eyecatcher. Also the service is impeccable. The breakfast, taken in a large room next to the water side is very good. The quirky bar serves many specialities. As the hotel, the city has a lovely atmosphere. Just wander around and if you need a break go to the island of Runde, watching puffins is a lifetime experience.
