Die Halde is not your typical 'Black Forest' accommodation. In a region with so many average hotels this is a real find. This 'old farmhouse' has been renovated with an eye for architectural detail without losing its charm and coziness. The place feels very authentic but also very urban. The view is wonderful (also from your room), including rolling hills and the highest mountain of the region: the Feldberg. The owner cooks savory dishes, don't go anywhere else! (it's included anyway). After that head to the snugly bar with open fire place. The wellness area is a haven to relax, though the indoor pool is a tad cold :-). You can't go wrong here.
