Eden Designhotel Maastricht lies in a lively, trendy part of the city. Every room has a unique style (we didn’t have the nicest though). Design accents can be found everywhere. Breakfast is good and there’s also a brasserie in the hotel. Better head to the district Wijck, which is full of arty shops and nice restaurants. The railway station is nearby and the old city (recommended), over the river Maas, is a pretty 500m stroll. We were there during the annual carnival, which is pretty nice, but if you don’t like this too much (like we ;-)) try to avoid this time of the year.
