A room with a view! Although this hotel is business / meetings / conferences oriented, the location, food, authenticity and wellness area (with a view and this one IS hip) is too good not to be in this list. The original house dates back to the 16th century as a trading and caring house for the Dutch, who's sailing ships anchored in the bay to buy timber. On site you'll even find a museum and art gallery. The rooms are romantic with a lot of textile. The quietness and location on Tingvoll- fjorden is something to be experienced. After sipping your sunset drink on the wooden terraces on this splendid lakeside setting you'll enjoy the high quality regional cuisine.
