It gets a while to get there (4wd mandatory) but when you reach this 'outpost' you don't know where to look first: the lavish interiors, the awe-inspiring view of the Al Hajar mountains from the restaurant, your balcony or the large infinity pool. The creators only used natural building materials and the architecture seems to vanish into the surroundings. The attention to detail in every corner is stunning. The food is very good and the staff attentive. You can explore the beautiful Saiq plateau by car or have walks amongst the terraced villages gardens. This is an expensive place but absolutely worth to unwind a few days.
